10 random things about me:

  1. I really like Llama’s.  I think they’re hilarious animals.  I mean really, just look at them!
  2. I laugh a lot.  Sometimes I laugh too loudly in public places.  I have a very sarcastic sense of humour.  I think it’s a New Zealand thing.
  3. I was a vegetarian for almost 10 years.  I am not a vegetarian any longer.  I now eat bacon.  Something I thought I’d never do again in my life.  Sometimes you surprise yourself.
  4. I think being a vegetarian for so long is what made me the cook I am today.  It made me understand food.  I worked as a Chef for 5 years, a Barista for two years, and now I work for myself as a Caterer.
  5. I am the youngest of five children.  My siblings are all much older than me.  The closest in age to me is my Sister Karen, who is 6 years older.  I have 3 Neices, 4 Nephews and 1 Great-Nephew.
  6. I have a thin white scar across my stomach from an operation that I had when I was a baby.  My Father and one of my Brother’s also have the same scar.  I am strangely proud of this scar, I guess it’s because it’s something that ties us together as a family.
  7. I am fair-skinned and freckled, and have Sri Lankan ancestry.  116th to be exact.  My Father was born with dark skin to light-skinned parents.  All of his 6 siblings are light-skinned.  People of that generation called this being a throwback.  I call it awesome.  I love this part of our family’s history.
  8. I love bright colours.  A pastel person I am not.  If I wear pale blue it makes me look as if I’m really sick.  I tend not to wear pale blue because of this unfortunate fact.
  9. I own 33 dresses.  At Christmas time I tried on my old school ball gowns.  They still fit, 12 years later.
  10. Last year I taught myself to make soap.  I now make and sell my soap through my website www.saponify.com.au

Thanks to Amanda from Calico and Co. for this “pass-it-on”

Edit:  Whoops, I was supposed to pass this on!  Of course, that’s why it’s called a “pass-it-on” Sarah!

Hopefully these talented ladies see this post and “pass-it-on” themselves!
