Saturday’s Surry Hills Festive Markets were great!

It was such a lovely relaxed day, and the other stallholders around me were lovely.  I’ll definitely be looking to do this market regularly in 2011.

Tomorrow I have a stall booked for the Surry Hills Christmas Markets.

I’ll be there from 7am (!) with all of my usual Saponify goodies, as well as many, many jars of my delicious  home made jams and relishes.  Do be sure to pop by and say hello if you’re out and about.

Tomorrow (Saturday 11th December 2010) I have a stall at the Reservoir Bazaar Christmas Markets.

I’ll have all of my Saponify range available, as well as some hand made soft toys and other bits and bobs.

I’m looking forward to hanging out with my friend Leonie, who makes the most beautiful jewellery.  Yay!

There’s a write up about the market here, and a couple of links to some other designers that will be having stalls tomorrow.

Make sure you pop by and say hello if you’re in Surry Hills tomorrow!

I’ve just made this pretty garland to act as signage for my Saponify market stalls.

This Saturday I have a stall at the Reservoir Bazaar at The Winery in Surry Hills.  If you’re in the area make sure you pop by.   It’s a great chance to grab some last minute Christmas gifts, and a fun day out to boot!

Good morning!  Last week, Amanda from the blog Calico and Co. interviewed me about my business – Saponify!

The full interview is now live on her site, and you can read it here:  artisan-love-saponify.html

This morning I’m ordering more containers to fill with the ever popular Rose Geranium, Lavender and Mandarin Hand and Body Butter.

I’m expecting a big delivery of Essential Oils, Cocoa Butter, and Organic Shea Nut Butter to be delivered today.  I’m very much looking forward to creating some new goodies for the Holiday season.

I have some very exciting things in the works for Saponify in the coming months.  Stay tuned for more info!

Last week I went to the Better Homes and Gardens LIVE event with my friend Helen.  I scored some free tickets from the lovely Amanda at Calico and Co.  We had a fun day out, it always is fun hanging out with Helen!

While we were there I purchased a piece of chalk cloth from Me Too Please.  Already it’s been used at a menu board for the dinner party we hosted on Saturday night.

It’s now in use directly above my desk.  A totally useful, and environmentally friendly blackboard.  Awesome.

I just need to get myself some new chalk now.  I’m writing with tailors chalk at the moment, which isn’t really ideal.  I’m hoping to pop in to Reverse Garbage after boxing one day this week and pick myself up a box.  Fingers crossed they still have some available!

Today I’m wearing a little stretch cotton dress that I made last year.  Super comfortable, but quite short!  It’s a wear-with-shorts-or-leggings kind of number.

You can see right behind my behind there’s a couple of my handmade soaps.  I’m just setting up to take some product shots so they can go into the shop this afternoon.

Dress:  Handmade by me with fabric found in my Mum’s stash
Apron:  Most probably made by my Nana, given to me by Mum last time I visited home.  It’s awesome fabric, I love it!  It’s fraying on the tie at the back and is badly in need of some repairs, but I that’s part of what I love about it.  The wide waist band makes this apron so comfortable to wear.  It’s great when I’m photographing my products as it stops me getting tiny pieces of soap all over my dress.

If you’d like to sponsor me for my Frocktober challenge please head here to donate.  My registration number is 664999

The 212 glass jam jars I ordered arrived about an hour ago, and I already have two pots of Strawberry Jam bubbling away.

(Just in case you were wondering what I’m going to be spending the next few months doing)

Right now they’re making quite an excellent blockade for our front door.  I’ll have to work our a better place to put them before the Mr gets home tonight.

I’ll be selling jars full of Jam and Relish this holiday season – stay tuned for more information!

Yesterday I headed down to Cronulla with my Saponify goodies for the 4th Allie’s Attic handmade market.

Allie also did a lovely little write up of Saponify products on her blog.

I’ll be updating the website in the next couple of days with some new products so stay tuned!

I hope everyone that took home some of my handmade goodies enjoys using them!
