I’ve just been told by the lovely team at Frocktober that I raised $440 for Australian Ovarian Cancer Research.

I’m extremely happy with the result, I had no idea that I’d end up raising so much to be honest.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated to this extremely worthy cause.  You’re all winners!

Lets hope with the combined fundraising efforts this year we can keep more of our loved ladies safe and healthy.

Now it’s over to you, Movember!

Today is my last day of my Frocktober challenge!  I can’t believe that i’ve managed to wear a dress everyday for 31 days, or that I own 31 dresses.  Eep!

We’re about to leave to go to our friends Candice and John’s wedding.  We’re both really looking forward to it!

This dress was given to me by Joh’s mother Fianach about 8 years ago.   It’s a lovely special occasion dress.

The sun and wind were really making these photos hard to take, hence the hilarious shot below.

One day of my Frocktober pledge to go people!  If you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time!

Today’s Frock is a Lotus wrap that i’ve tied with a little creativity to make a super comfortable drapey frock.  They’re made from vintage indian sari silk, which is so lovely and soft to wear against the skin.

You’ll have to excuse my expression in the above photo.  A neighbour has been noisily clearing his throat for about two hours now, not the nicest thing to hear while you’re trying to get some photos taken.  Or any time, for that matter!

I have just two days left of my Frocktober challenge!  I wonder if i’ll jump straight back into my jeans on Sunday or if i’ll continue on with frocks?

Today’s frock is so fun to wear.  I’m pretty sure I got it from Zoo Emporium in Surry Hills.  It’s so 80’s, I love it.  I got a few stares when I was out today, it’s quite overcast and a bit drizzly, I don’t think people were expecting to see a bright sundress in this weather.

And it has pockets – I just love dresses with pockets!

Today’s Frocktober frock is a work in progress.  I’m wearing it today, mostly, unless it’s under the sewing machine needle or the iron.  It used to be my mothers, i’m not sure how old she was when she wore it.  It’s been made without any overlocking, so it must have been made by my grandmother for my mother when she was a teenager.  Someone (probably Nana) has hacked at the back of it to remove the zip, so there is a huge hole where fabric should be.  I’m trying to work out the best way to fix it and make it wearable, it’s definitely a challenge.  I’m thinking of taking off the sleeves and giving it a nice low back – what do you think?  Any ideas?  I’m a little stuck and the moment!

The most excellent thing about this is that it fits me!  How cool is it that a dress my teeny tiny mother used to wear when she was young fits me!  Yay!!

There are only 4 days left of the month of Frocktober!  As of today i’ve raised $385 for Australian Ovarian Cancer Research!  Thank you so much to everyone who has donated – you’re ace!

Today’s frock came from the sadly now closed Misery store in Auckland.  I’m not sold on the colour on me though, pale pink and I aren’t usually seen in the same outfit together.

I do however like it’s ‘nursey’ qualities, it will be good for future dress-up parties for sure!

Today’s not just Frocktober day 26 – it’s also Joh’s birthday!  Happy Birthday honey!!  We met for a wonderful long lunch at the excellent Rockpool Bar and Grill.

Today’s beaufiful silk frock was a birthday gift from Joh several years ago.  It came from Misery Boutique in Auckland, which has sadly now closed.  It’s such a shame because her dresses were oh so lovely.

I love the shape of the sleeves, they’re just the sweetest.

I’m frocking my kitsch vintage polyester Muumuu for day 25 of my Frockober challenge.  It’s a muumuu!  It’s brown!  It’s probably the most polyester ever to be worn on one person!

I picked up this amazing muumuu a few years ago from a vintage store in Newtown.

We had a Hawaiian themed party and this is what I wore.  It’s one of those items that i’ll have to keep forever, just in case anyone invites me to a hawaiian themed party!

Today is the 24th of Frocktober!  We’re preparing a Bavarian bbq feast for our friends for Joh’s birthday.  Home made pretzels and home made butter anyone?

I love this dress so much!  It’s from Zoo Emporium on Campbell St in Surry Hills.  Isn’t the collar amazing!

I’m off to pull the blueberry tart out of the oven.  Yum!

There are just 8 days of my Frocktober pledge left.  I’m down to three dresses, so i’m going to have to do some serious sewing next week…  or maybe some thrifty op-shopping this afternoon?

This dress was love at first sight.  I nabbed it from my favourite vintage store in Sydney, Zoo Emporium. Isn’t the pattern just lovely? It’s impossible to be in a bad mood when you wear a frock as fabulous as this.

My self photography mojo wasn’t working for me this morning…  :)
